Autumn Term
We have had a fabulous term so far. All the children have worked very hard and also had some exciting experiences.
- On Friday 29th November we led a Class Assembly in which we showcased our learning of India. Parents and the whole school watched our performances. We think that we have some budding actors and dancers in our Year group!
- This term we have been learning about our local area of Stoke. We all followed a route around Stoke to take note of the human and physical features in our local area. We were very lucky as it was a cold, crisp morning for our walk but it was dry. We have now compared Stoke to a little village in India called Chembakolli. Two children who have relatives in India enjoyed sharing their experiences with the rest of the children.
- We had a very special visitor called Mr Gray on the 6th November. Mr Gray had been a child during World War Two. He told us about his experiences and showed us many artifacts of that period. It was very interesting talking with him. This inspired us to create a display about his visit.
- On Friday 25th October all Year 3 children visited the library in Stoke as part of the ‘Adventures in Words’ Workshops. Whilst there they met with Kate Leake who is an author and illustrator. The children had a fabulous time learning about the craft of writing a storybook.
