Class Teachers: Mrs Hepple and Miss Willis

Year 5 PH – Mrs Hepple

Hello, You may recognise me my name last year was Miss Wrigley; however, over the summer I got married and my new name is now Mrs Hepple. I am originally from Newcastle-Under-Lyme. Although I graduated in 2014 with a BA Hons in Primary Education with a Religious Studies specialism, I have only taught for 2 years. During those years when I wasn’t teaching I gained lots of experience as a Teaching Assistant, covering numerous classes. In my spare time I enjoy running and I have recently joined a women’s cricket team - I take part in tournaments on a regular basis. I also enjoy going to hot countries and reading books by the swimming pool. My favourite authors are Michael Morpurgo and Jacqueline Wilson. Somebody who inspires me is my cousin, who is a primary school Head Teacher.

Year 5 LW – Miss Willis

Hello, everyone. My name is Miss Willis. I’m from Stoke-On-Trent, but went to Chester University for a while to study English Language. I’ve worked at Stoke Minster for over 9 years now. I spent 5 years as classroom support assistant, before training and qualifying as a teacher. I have been a class teacher for 4 years now and absolutely love working at our fabulous school, with our wonderful children. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, doing yoga, indoor rock climbing and (of course) spending time with my family. My favourite book is one you might not have heard of: Narcissus and Goldmund by Herman Hesse. Hesse is not only one of my favourite authors, but someone who inspires me. Despite living through the incredibly challenging time of World War II, he held true to his own beliefs and worked against the oppression of art, literature and culture of Nazi Germany. A very impressive individual, indeed!
